TASHA TUDOR

Tasha Tudor
1915 - 2008

Years ago I went to hear Tasha Tudor speak in the Provo Tabernacle (the place that just burned) She was in her 70s at the time, a very tiny and delightful little woman.  I remember her story about the repair man who had come to fix her deep freeze.  She had forgotten about what she had in there. You see, she needed models for the little animals she draws so when she found a dead bird or squirrel in the woods she would pop them in her freezer.  Next time she needed a model she would just thaw them a little and position them. When the repair man opened the freezer door he gasped and ran. She was honestly a one of a kind.
